Job Description

The Next Generation Pastor provides vision, leadership, and strategic direction for all ministries serving preschool through college-aged individuals across multiple campuses, ensuring alignment with the church’s mission while developing cohesive programming, staff, and volunteer systems. This role also includes pastoral care, team collaboration, and a strong personal commitment to spiritual priorities, church unity, and investing in both families and those exploring faith.

MINISTRY EXPECTATIONS

  • Lead, direct, and guide the Next Generation Ministry across all campuses, including the Next Generation staff team.
  • Develop and implement a Next Generation Ministry Strategy which includes:
  • Groups and Midweek programming,
  • Scope and Sequence,
  • Volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, and resourcing,
  • Impact families and support parents,
  • Enhance and strengthen the new believer process, including steps for spiritual growth, and
  • Ensure all strategies align with the Bell Shoals mission and vision.
  • Continually work toward cohesion and alignment between campuses and all of the Next Generation Ministries.
  • Develop alignment and synergy for all campus events (i.e., MVMT WKND, camps, VBS, promotion weekend).
  • Ensure any campus-specific events or initiatives align with the Bell Shoals mission, vision, and brand parameters.
  • Lead the College Age Ministry.
  • Give oversight to the Special Needs Ministry.
  • Be a team player who works well with fellow global staff members to support their initiatives as they support the Next Generation team.
  • Be a staff member who commits to excellence, heart to serve, spirit of humility, conviction to lead, focus on team, culture of fun, and passion for people.
  • Pastoral ministry – weddings, funerals, hospital visits as needed.
  • Specific duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor and/or Executive Pastor.

  • Invest in and invite the lost to know Jesus and to get plugged into Bell Shoals Church.
  • Give sacrificially to the ministry of Bell Shoals Church.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master of Divinity preferred.
