Job Description

Job Title:                                 Worship Pastor/Director

Reports to:                              Lead Pastor Matt Waitley/ Associate Pastor Don Larreau

Exempt Status:                        Pastor/Exempt 

Lead musical worship

-             In cooperation with the Lead/Associate Pastors, plan the order of worship for the regular weekend services.  

-             Research and prepare appropriate music that will enhance worship.

-             Recruit and develop musicians and vocalists into a team of worshipers.

-             Plan Christ-centered activities that will help build up the spiritual lives of all praise team members.

-             Lead musical worship at other functions as needed.

-             Serve in other pastoral roles as needed, based upon your gifting

Biblical and theological study as directed by the Lead Pastor

-             Spend regular time in the study of God’s Word and prayer.

-             Work toward fulfilling the requirements for licensing and ordination through the EFCA.

-             Take advantage of educational opportunities.

-             Attend personal- and team-growth conferences.     

Actively participate in the life of the church

-             Participate in small-group ministries and/or a small group bible study.

-             Participate in serving opportunities when possible.

Manage office relationships and administrative responsibilities

-             Attend regular staff meetings and other meetings as requested by the Lead/Associate pastors.

-             Manage the praise/worship ministry budget.

-             Maintain healthy working relationships with all other church staff and volunteers.

Requirements and qualifications

-             Must be a worshipper, not just a musician or vocalist.

-             Must have above-average musical ability.

-             Must subscribe to the doctrinal statements of faith in our constitution.

-             Must possess strong leadership qualities and abilities.

-             Must be expectant of the moving and work of the Holy Spirit.
