Pacific Islands Bible Church (PIBC) is seeking a Pastor who is deeply committed to the authority of Scripture, passionate about expository Bible teaching, and gifted in shepherding God’s people.
About Pacific Islands Bible Church
PIBC is a non-denominational, evangelical, Bible teaching church of approximately 90 attendees in a suburb with a mix of local and military families. Our mission statement is “Making God known as Jesus’ disciples through truth, love and service” and we hold these core values: God-‘Ohana-Engage. We attempt to practice these values through strong biblical teaching, small group involvement, children/youth ministries, family activities and outreach. Our Sunday morning services are informal with contemporary worship, practical and relevant teaching, and programs for people of every age.
PIBC has a Pastor directed-Elder led style of church government. We are committed to:

Responsibilities
- Provide vision and direction for the church
- Prepare and deliver biblically faithful, Christ-centered sermons
- Oversee the church’s teaching ministries
- Encourage and equip believers toward spiritual growth and maturity
- Offer biblical counseling and support
- Foster a culture of prayer, discipleship, evangelism, service, and leadership development
- Promote local and foreign missions
Qualifications
- Meets the biblical qualifications for elders as outlined in 1Tim. 3:1-7 & Titus 1:5-9
- Master’s of Divinity or Theology from an accredited seminary or divinity school. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively preach and teach God’s word, strong leadership, communication and relational skills
- Ability to shepherd and care for a multigenerational/multicultural congregation
- A team player who is a passionate learner with a teachable spirit

- Previous pastoral ministry experience preferred
