Church Plant Co-Pastor - Bilingual

Our church is in the initial phases of launch. We are planting this community within a larger non-profit that has 20 years experience delivering the love of Christ through food, education, and paralegal services. We now want to create a community of true seekers and disciples to build on what God has already accomplished.

The new congregation will be a part of the Reformed Church in America and potentially yoked with another mainline denomination. The RCA is the oldest denomination in the US with deep roots in NYC.

We seek someone who can start part time. Our coordinating pastor is not paid but this position will have a part time salary. We hope that the church grows to a large enough base of support to allow this role to grow. This role may also be combined with a role in the non-profit community development side for the right candidate.

We are seeking an individual who has some theological training and has attained at least a Bachelors Degree in any other field. We need someone who can minster and teach in Spanish and English fluently. We seek someone who is open toward all people and will not discriminate or judge based on Language, Race, Culture, Belief, Gender, or Sexual Orientation. We seek someone committed to both the outward ministry of service and the inward ministry of true discipleship.

To start this job will entail:

1. Coordinating Sunday prayer meetings - and worship when it launches in the Spring
2. Serving with the Coordinating Pastor on the Vision and Development Team
3. Reaching out to those who show specific interest as well as supporting outreach efforts through our non-profit which feeds 1000 people weekly
4. Organize and co-lead a discipleship group to build core leaders
