Worship/Youth Leader

The dual Worship/Youth Leader is ideal for someone:

1. Who loves Jesus and is gifted in worship ministry.

2. Has a heart to help create a Youth Ministry, with volunteers, to facilitate the discipleship of both junior and senior high school aged teens.

3. Someone who can lead contemporary worship with humility, skill, style and spiritual maturity.

4. Can teach the Bible with clarity, relevance and conviction.

5. Wants to build personal discipling relationships with teens and others who serve

in the ministry.

6. Desires to grow in his shepherding and pastoring ministry.

Specific Duties

1. Lead the Worship Team practices during the week and lead worship on Sundays.

2. Lead a mid-week Youth Group meeting.

3. Direct and shepherd other volunteers in these ministries.

4. Recruit, schedule and shepherd musicians and vocalists.

5. Plan music sets and provide the music for the worship team.

6. Develop a culture of worship—toward doing so in spirit and truth

7. Oversee coordination with the Sound Technicians and Slide Projectionists

8. Attend elder’s meetings as needed

9. Submit to church leadership

9. Plan special youth events—youth conferences, fun events, socials, service projects and outreaches. 

10. Develop personal relationships with youth toward discipling them. 

We are seeking a Candidate who:

1. Is a committed believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.

2. Is committed to Bible teaching and obedience.

3. Is elder-qualified (I Timothy 3, Titus 1)

4. Agrees unreservedly with our doctrinal statement.

Qualifications:

1. Demonstrated ability to lead worship

2.)Demonstrated ability to lead a youth group

3. A commitment to the Great Commission—making disciples.

4. Christian maturity and training
