Position Summary
The Contemporary Worship Leader is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading engaging contemporary worship experiences that inspire spiritual growth and encourage congregational participation. This individual will cultivate a Christ-centered worship environment through music, leadership, creativity, and teamwork while supporting the overall mission and vision of the church.
Key Responsibilities
Worship Planning
- Collaborates with pastor to select design set list.
Leading services
- Lead vocal and play instrument during worship service while engaging congregation
- Team development
Team Development
- Recruit, train and mentor band members and vocalists.
- Schedule volunteers for worship services and special events Concerts.
Technical Coordination
- Coordinate sound, media elements with tech volunteers and planning center
- Manage worship ministry schedules and communication effectively.
Qualifications
- Committed Christian with a Strong personal faith in Jesus Christ.
- Proficiency in music (strong vocal skills and at least plays the guitar or keyboard)
Leadership skills
- Experience in managing volunteers
- Ability to communicate clearly with band members, staff and volunteers.
- Creative initiatives to engage church and community in music
Work Schedule
- Part-time (5-15hrs) per week
- Includes all worship activities, weekends, rehearsals, special events, and occasional holidays.
Compensation
Salaried ($20,000 - $25,000) based on experience and qualifications
