Church Outreach and Connection Coordinator

Our new church, SoulShape is looking for someone who is able to gather people to our new church. They should be able to personally befriend people in their 20s easily, communicate the culture of our church, and attract people to our Saturday night service. They should be able to show they have a healthy social network in Redding, CA, or proven they can gather people in a new city. The service is from 6-8 p.m. at Mistletoe Elementary School in Redding, CA. They should be able to help connect the people they gather to others at SoulShape and generally make them feel welcome and part of the congregation. One-on-one evangelism skills are a plus.

The job pays $500/month. The position requires 28 hours per month. It is a month-to-month position, and we will determine if we will continue the position at the end of the month. Growth in the congregation is the biggest factor. It probably will not last more than three months.

SoulShape emphasizes authentic friendship, healing the heart and transformation into the image of Jesus. One unusual feature of our congregation is that we start our Saturday evening service with about 40 minutes of stretching and relaxation, which puts people in a friendly and receptive state. We want to help people absorb whatever God may be impressing on them.

This position also includes deep discipleship from the pastor, so you must have a desire to grow. You will be part of our congregation and you will be challenged to Christian maturity.
