Richwoods Christian Church is seeking a Worship Pastor to join our team and provide overall leadership to our worship, production and creative arts ministry. We are looking for someone who loves the Church and is passionate about creating a vibrant worship culture where people can encounter Jesus, experience His transforming power, and live on mission.

Our ideal candidate would lead the worship, production, and creative arts departments of Richwoods Christian Church by:

• - Having high capacity, passion, and love for God’s church and the mission He is calling Richwoods towards.
• - Developing engaging weekly worship services in partnership with the Lead Pastor.
• - Growing, investing, and shepherding a vibrant volunteer culture within the worship, production, and creative arts teams.
• - Creating stage sets, song selections and service flow that amplifies the sermon and leads people to engage with Jesus.
• - Being a staff member that lives Richwoods’ mission, values, and vision as well as encouraging other staff to do the same.
• - Having experience building volunteer teams, leading worship services, and working at a church of 500+ average weekly attendance.
• - Embracing and being an active disciple-maker who helps others find Jesus, be discipled, and make disciples themselves.
• - Desiring to grow as a leader, worship pastor, and follower of Jesus by learning from other pastors and churches.
• - Having a passion for the community outside the walls of our church.
• - Being a gifted musician, strong vocal/musical talent, and able to recognize gifting in others.
• - Caring deeply for the people of Richwoods, pastoring them “off stage,” and engaging in the life of the church beyond just worship.

Richwoods Christian Church is a church community in Peoria, IL of approximately 600 that is focused on the mission of helping people find and follow Christ. ROLE SUMMARY:

The Worship Pastor will be responsible for creating a vibrant worship environment that leads people to grow in their faith, explore Jesus, and take steps towards finding and following Him. They will also live out the Richwoods Values, have a deep love for Jesus, and a passion to serve His church.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES General Pastoral Expectations:

- Align with Richwoods Christian Church’s ministry philosophy and values.

- Agree with, and adhere to, the leadership structure of Richwoods Christian Church.

- Collaborate with, and bring vision and energy to the Worship/Production Team.

- Attend all staff and team meetings.
