Children's Minister

Evangel Assembly of God is a family focused Church situated in the suburbs of Buffalo New York. We are passionate about developing a relationship with Jesus Christ by serving the families of our church and community. We are looking for an organized and energetic self-starter to take over our Children's Ministry. The ideal candidate will have a degree from an accredited Bible college, experience leading children, and a sincere faith in the Lord. This position requires the right minister to work with the Pastoral staff, Children's ministry volunteers, and kids from Nursery to 6th grade.

Job Functions

~ Sermon Preparation and content creation.

~ Create 1-2 events per month.

~ Oversee Royal Rangers and Impact Girl volunteers.

~ Schedule volunteers for the Nursery and Toddler Program.

~ Hospital visitation for families of children from birth to 6th grade.

~ Direct an annual community Easter Egg Hunt.

~ Coordinate a summer Vacation Bible School.

~ Work with the worship director for Christmas specials.

Qualifications

~ A 4-year degree from an accredited college is preferred.

~ Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in children's ministry preferred.

~Recent Bible school graduates encouraged to apply.

~ Must be firmly established in Christ Jesus.

~ Licensing through the Assemblies of God is preferred but is not required.
