Children's Ministry Intern/Director

We are currently looking to develop a new Children's Ministry Intern into a part-time/full-time position as Children's Ministry Director. The Children's Ministry Director would be responsible for the Children's Ministry at both our City South Campus in SW San Antonio and our Boerne Campus which is still in the launch stage to become a Saturday night church. The internship begins with a $100 stipend to attend our services at the City South Campus in order to shadow other staff to learn the systems. This gives the applicant an opportunity to make sure they want to be part of the CrossRoads system while our staff evaluates the applicant. The applicant will be given ministry opportunities to lead children's activities as time and training advance.

The goal is to develop into a full-time position overseeing all Children's Ministries including:

• Children's Church during regular services on Saturdays from 3 pm-7 pm

• Children's Church during regular services on Sundays from 7:45 am-1:00 pm

• Planning these plus Summer Camps, VBS, Lock-ins, and more

• Recruiting and developing adult volunteers to help with Children's Ministry

• Communicating to church (especially parents) all Children's Ministry news and events.

• Developing and Supporting Children's Ministry Directors at our other campuses.

There is no experience required, but would be advantageous. We are looking for someone who feels a call into Children's Ministry but is willing to develop slowly. We don't want to bring someone in too quickly and it does not work out. This is too hard on the children and the parents.

A high-school diploma is required along with a willingness to pursue pastoral licensing and ordination as a pastor should the position become full-time.

CrossRoads is a growing church with multiple sites. We are embarking on an exciting new vision of 10 campuses in 10 years. We started a second campus during covid. We now have three launch teams active for three more campuses. We are an English-speaking church but majority Hispanic, but quite diverse. Our worship is contemporary (Hillsong, Elevation, etc.). We are also a Bible-teaching church holding to the Wesleyan-Arminian theology.
