The Director of Discipleship (DOD) will be responsible for the Christian Education program of Trinity UMC. The DOD will recruit and train volunteers for Trinity's programs including adult small groups and youth groups. The DOD will also maintain programs of outreach and nurture for the congregation. The DOD is responsible for collaborating with Pastors, Staff and lay leadership to create a faith community committed to becoming mature disciples of Jesus Christ. The DOD will work with all ages and stages of life in the development of processes by which disciples will grow their faith and spiritual gifts through prayer, Bible study, stewardship, evangelism, and mission.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or On The Job performance that can be verified with previous employers. Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Christian Education or Christian Discipleship

Willingness to seek additional certifications or education as required by the Sr. Pastor and the Staff-Parish Ministry
Pass a background check to include state and federal background
Pass drug testing prior to the beginning of employment and/or on demand after employment
Understanding of Biblical knowledge in the traditional Christian practice and in the Wesleyan theology and tradition
Compensation:
Salary starting at $51,000
Exempt - no benefits
Expectation of minimum weekly hours - 50

Stable Community of 7,500 population. Store fronts full with vibrant community activities throughout the year
Located in Northeast Iowa - Charles City. Close to Mason City and Waterloo
