Position Overview:
The Loganville Kids Pastor is a leader responsible for helping oversee and advance the Kids Ministries across all campuses. This role is not just about managing programs—it’s about helping to cast vision, inspire leaders, and create engaging, Christ-centered environments where kids can encounter Jesus in a way that is fun, exciting, and transformational.
Based at the main campus, the Loganville Kids Pastor will work alongside the Next Gen Pastor and Kids Pastors to develop, implement, and refine ministry strategies that align with the church’s vision of Knowing God and Making God Known.
This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and the ability to build and invest in teams. The Loganville Kids Pastor must have a passion for partnering with families, a heart for raising up the next generation, and the ability to develop volunteers into effective, disciple-making leaders. Ultimately, this position is about fostering a culture where kids love coming to church, experience authentic community, and grow in their faith in ways that will impact them for a lifetime.
Ministry Objectives:
Objective One: To lead the collaborative efforts of the children’s pastors in providing the best possible Sunday morning experience for Babies–5th Grades at the Loganville Campus. To include games, worship, large group teaching, and small groups that teach the Bible in a fun relatable way. Plan, organize, and execute a dynamic weekly Kids Ministry experience at the Loganville Campus. Help to Oversee the quality and consistency of Kids Ministry experiences at the other campuses.
Objective Two: To identify, recruit, schedule, equip, empower, lead and maintain children’s ministry volunteers for the elementary ministry at the Loganville Campus.
Objective Three: To work alongside the Next Gen Pastor and Kids Pastors to foster clear and effective communication across the children's ministry as a whole—connecting with staff, volunteers, and parents through emails, texts, social media, marketing, Planning Center, and more.
Objective Four: To collaborate with the NextGen Pastor and Kids Pastors in planning catalytic gKids events. (including but not limited to Easter Egg Hunt, Sports Camp, CentriKid Camp, Fall Festival, Parent-Child Dedication, Christmas Program, etc.)
Objective Five: To engage in outreach by targeting local families with the gospel, meeting new families weekly, and actively inviting them to church. Have a strong physical presence at community events, schools, and other places where families gather.
Objective Six: To collaborate with the Next Gen Pastor in maintaining Loganville gKids ministries within the approved budget.
Guidelines:
Maintain personal spiritual disciplines (prayer, Bible study, stewardship/tithing)
Attend all staff meetings (Campus, gKids, All-Staff), except when excused by the Campus Pastor
Attend all worship events, except when excused by the Campus Pastor
Befriend new attenders
Cultivate friendships with the unchurched
Personal ministry of outreach and life-on-life discipleship
Lead a small group
Compensation:
Full-time salary ($45K-65K dependent upon experience), health insurance (100% employee/50% family), medical reimbursement ($1000/annually), and cell phone allowance ($50/month).
A typical week of work for a full-time worker should involve 40-60 hours of church activities and church-related work. Vacation and time off are given according to the Employee Handbook and need to be approved by the Campus Pastor.
Note: Full-time ministry is not a “9-5 job” but a lifestyle. Sometimes staff will be asked to serve and fulfill needs in areas outside of their ministry responsibilities.
