Richwoods Christian Church – Peoria, Illinois

Richwoods Christian Church is seeking a Worship Pastor to join our team and provide leadership to our Worship, Production, and Creative Arts ministries. We are looking for a leader who loves the Church, has a passion for developing people, and desires to create a vibrant worship culture where people encounter Jesus, experience His transforming power, and live on-mission.

About the Role

The Worship Pastor will be responsible for crafting meaningful, Christ-centered worship experiences that connect people to God and inspire them to take their next steps in finding and following Jesus. Our ideal candidate will live out the Richwoods values and have a passion to serve His church, develop and shepherd teams, foster creativity, and partner with our Lead Pastor to design services that are both Spirit-led and excellently executed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to the Worship, Production, and Creative Arts teams
• Design and lead engaging weekly worship services in partnership with the Lead Pastor
• Build, disciple, and empower a thriving teammate culture within the Worship, Production, and Creative Arts Teams, including care and investment of your teammates beyond Sunday mornings
• Shape creative elements (sets, song selection, service flow, visuals) that amplify the message and point people to Jesus
• Champion Richwoods’ mission, values, and vision throughout all areas of ministry
• Pursue ongoing growth as a leader, pastor, and follower of Jesus by learning from others and embracing new opportunities
• Engage with our staff team through faithful attendance at team meetings

What We’re Looking For

• A vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus, marked by humility and integrity
• A high capacity leader with a deep love for the Church and a passion for helping people find and follow Christ
• Proven experience (3+ years preferred) in leading worship, building teams, and serving in a church of 1,000+ attendance
• Strong vocal and instrumental ability, with a talent for identifying and developing talent in others
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relational skills
• A vision-driven, action-oriented, responsible leader who is highly organized, self-motivated, and ready to offer energetic collaboration our Worship/Production Team
• A passion for reaching the community outside the walls of the church
• Alignment with the Richwoods ministry philosophy, values, and leadership structure
