Student Pastor/Director

Job Summary

The Student Pastor will be the driving force behind our student ministry, investing in the hundreds of junior high and high school students who call New Hills Church home. You will cast the vision, build the team, and grow a world-class ministry that reaches and engages the next generation from all over North Denver and beyond.

Role

•       Lead and oversee the entire Student Ministry of New Hills Church for students in grades 6–12

•       Drive all recruiting and volunteer development for the student ministry team

•       Build and iterate key systems for engaging new and existing students and families at New Hills

•       Set the direction and strategy for programming, discipleship, events, and retreats

•       Teach and preach regularly in student environments with biblical depth and cultural relevance

•       Partner closely with parents to equip them as the primary faith influencers in their students’ lives

•       Oversee ministry budget and ensure all environments meet New Hills safety standards

•       You prefer a steady, low-change environment over a fast-moving, growing ministry

•       Cold-calling and recruiting strangers to volunteer makes you want to hide

•       You’d rather support from behind the scenes than lead from the front

•       You’re more energized by maintaining what exists than by building something new

•       Teenagers or high-energy environments wear you out
