Job Overview
The Bridge, A Methodist Community is seeking a passionate and spiritually grounded Worship Leader to help lead our congregation in meaningful, Christ-centered worship experiences. This individual will work alongside church leadership, musicians, volunteers, and the congregation to create an atmosphere of worship that is welcoming, uplifting, and rooted in faith.
The Worship Leader will provide leadership for music ministry during weekly worship services, special events, and seasonal celebrations while helping cultivate spiritual growth, unity, and authentic community through worship.
This position is ideal for someone with a heart for ministry, strong musical abilities, and a desire to lead others into worship with humility, excellence, and joy.
Responsibilities
• Lead engaging and spiritually meaningful worship services for the congregation
• Select and coordinate music that aligns with sermon themes, church seasons, and the vision of the church
• Plan and lead rehearsals with musicians, singers, and worship volunteers
• Collaborate closely with pastors and ministry leaders to create cohesive worship experiences
• Encourage congregational participation through clear leadership and welcoming communication
• Recruit, mentor, and develop volunteer worship team members and musicians
• Help maintain sound quality, worship equipment, and stage readiness for services
• Assist with worship planning for special services, holidays, community events, and outreach opportunities
• Foster an encouraging and Christ-centered environment within the worship ministry
Qualifications
• Strong Christian faith and commitment to the mission and values of the church
• Experience leading worship in a church or faith-based setting preferred
• Vocal and/or instrumental proficiency with the ability to lead confidently from stage
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with pastors, staff, volunteers, and congregation members
• Experience with worship technology, sound systems, or presentation software is a plus
• Passion for mentoring and building relationships within the church community
• Ability to adapt worship styles to serve a multigenerational congregation
Position Details
• Part-time or flexible scheduling based on church needs
• Compensation based on experience and qualifications
• Work Location: West Memphis, Arkansas
