Worship Leader / Technical Administrator

Overview:

Cornerstone Church in Lolo, Montana is searching for a part-time worship leader/technical

administrator. Our desire is to find someone who has a deep love for Jesus and a heart to

engage with and serve the church. The role is not about performance, but about leading the

congregation into worship through a posture of surrender, worship and praise.

We are looking for a leader who is musically gifted, spiritually discerning, and passionate about

building and discipling healthy worship and production teams.

Cornerstone Church Lolo is a family-friendly, Bible centered, elder led, independent non-

denominational church. We have been established in our community for 10+ years. Our mission

is, “Loving God, Serving People, Becoming Family.” We place high value on Scripture and

practice expository preaching. We engage in many types of community and global outreach.

WORSHIP LEADER / TECHNICAL ADMINISTRATOR

PART-TIME SALARIED POSITION

JOB DESCRIPTION

Goal of Worship Leader:

The purpose and mission of the Worship Leader is to lead the congregation into worship through a posture of

surrender, worship and praise.

Responsible and Accountable to:

Church Elders, utilizing personal discussions as well as monitoring software (such as Covenant Eyes) on all work and personal devices.

Anticipated Time Requirements:

20-25 hours / week

Salary:

Dependent upon applicant

Personal Qualifications:

Must have good standing with the church currently attending

Must agree with the Cornerstone Church Tenets of Faith

Possess a heart to worship God

Participate in church ministries and functions and engage with others

A life committed to serving Jesus Christ, who is Lord and Savior

Actively engage in practices that will further develop a strong relationship with Jesus Christ

Have a reasonable and growing knowledge of Scripture and its application to followers of Jesus Christ

Have good leadership, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, which allow the individual to relate well with members and visitors to Cornerstone

Have a servant leader’s heart

Technical Qualifications:

Demonstrate the proficiency needed to teach, lead and grow members of the worship team in areas of musical ideas and musical theory

Demonstrate reasonable proficiency with live sound, presentation software, lighting and video recording/streaming

Demonstrate reasonable proficiency with church management software (Planning Center)

Demonstrate reasonable proficiency with IT and networking

Other potential areas of reasonable proficiency include: website upkeep, graphic design, marketing, social media

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with the pastor to create a well-planned and engaging Sunday morning worship service

Assist in planning, implementing and leading worship for special events outside of Sunday worship services

Deliver theologically sound music sets

Develop an annual budget for the worship team, website maintenance and system upgrades

Recruit, equip, schedule, direct and lead worship and production team(s) for weekly rehearsals and worship services (vocalists, instrumentalists, sound, light, presentation and video technicians)

Maintain and update (or oversee) the website with announcements, sermons, communications, and graphics as necessary

Assist the pastor and elders to anticipate future growth, next step opportunities and how to implement them once agreed upon

Coordinate all online and digital communication and production

Music style:

Blended worship style, mixing contemporary music along with more traditional songs of the church
