WORSHIP PASTOR

Breath of Life Worship Church is a multicultural, non-denominational church located in Tampa, FL, led by Pastor Earnest Benjamin. Breath of Life Worship Church has a genuine heart for its community, the church gathers for Sunday morning services at 10:30 am, with a modern worship style with a growing congregation along with people who are deeply invested in the mission and future of the church.

We had our church relaunch on Jan 2026 and still growing, and now we are in the look out for having our next vision for our praise and worship ministry to launch out

We are looking for a Worship Pastor who wants to serve somewhere that still feels personal and close-knit, where the ministry is real and the momentum is genuine.

The church is seeking the right candidate to serve as the new Worship Pastor to oversee the worship ministry. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity that align with the church's overall mission and vision. Below are the qualifications and responsibilities for this role:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and lead worship services with the worship team, creating authentic, intentional worship experiences that prioritize congregational engagement over performance.
• Recruit, train, mentor, schedule, and disciple volunteers for the worship and production teams, including instrumentalists, vocalists, and production volunteers, investing in them as worship leaders rather than simply filling slots.
• Foster spiritual and leadership growth within the team through ongoing mentoring, discipleship, and intentional one-on-one investment.
• Lead focused, well-run rehearsals that eliminate dead space and weak transitions, raising the musical and spiritual standard of the team.
• Be able to lead a full Sunday service from guitar or piano, with the musical competence to direct the band, cue transitions, and make real-time adjustments.
• Manage worship ministry and production (including ProPresenter slides, lyrics, visuals, and Ableton or tracks, sound, video, lighting, and cameras).
• Oversee setup, operation, and maintenance of sound, lights, video, and graphics for all services and events.
• Manage technology upgrades, media file production for online broadcasts, and graphic and video projects.
• Oversee technical aspects of special events such as weddings and funerals, and maintain the worship department budget, licensing, and resources.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Pastor of Breath of Life Worship Church to align services with the church's vision and doctrine, and cast and execute vision for the worship ministry throughout the week with follow through and accountability.
• Maintain a working understanding of the livestream and website so the online worship experience is consistent and well led.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A devoted Christ follower with integrity, a heart for worship, and a deep and growing relationship with Jesus.
• Full agreement with and willingness to support the beliefs and theological convictions of Breath of Life Worship Church.
• Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills with a servant's heart.
• Proficiency on guitar or piano with the ability to lead a Sunday service independently, along with strong vocal leadership.
• Proficient in audio, video, lighting, and media software including ProPresenter, Planning Center, and Ableton or equivalent, or the demonstrable ability to learn these tools quickly.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively, maintaining confidentiality and moral purity.
• A self-starter who can create vision, communicate it clearly, and execute it, especially in a ministry being rebuilt from a blank slate.
• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Experience: Three or more years of full-time ministry experience preferred.
• The church is open to a candidate with less experience who demonstrates the right skillset, chemistry, and motivation.

SALARY: Competitive salary according to industry standard
