Children's Ministry Director

DFMC is seeking a warm, relational, and mission-driven Children’s Ministry Director to help build bridges between the church and families in Metro Detroit. This role blends children’s ministry leadership, family outreach, and community engagement, creating environments where children and families feel welcomed and valued.

The ideal candidate genuinely loves people, enjoys meeting new families, and thrives in building relationships with children, parents, volunteers, and community partners. They are a self-starter who takes initiative, works well independently, and collaborates joyfully as part of a team. Most importantly, they care deeply about helping families discover the hope and transformation found in Jesus.

This person will champion the presence and spiritual growth of children (birth through 5th grade) and help support the broader family system through events, mentoring relationships, and connections with local schools and community programs.
