Associate Worship Leader

GOALS

• To oversee worship/production aspects of weekend services at our Manistee campus

• To serve the Manistee campus as a worship leader, committed to excellence and authenticity

• To grow the Creative Arts volunteer team at the Manistee campus

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish a team of volunteers at the Manistee campus whose passions, spiritual gifts and abilities strengthen the

Creative Arts ministry.

• Oversee weekend services including midweek rehearsals, scheduling of band and production teams

• Create worship runs/collaborate with volunteer worship leaders in selecting songs for weekend services

• Manage weekend music and production elements

• Oversee volunteer recruitment, training and development

• Ensure preparation of all weekend tech elements

• Provide spiritual leadership, care and encouragement for the volunteer team

• Create the quarterly serving schedule for the band/production teams

• Serve as the music director – weekly

• Collaborate with Creative Arts leadership team in selecting songs for weekend services

• Oversee the implementation of set design as needed.

• Serve as worship leader regularly and serve as band/production team member as needed.

• Identify a leader for TAByouth worship and provide support, mentoring and discipleship. Serve as needed for

TAByouth worship services.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide thoughtful input and perspective for implementation.

• Be readily available for any questions or concerns volunteers may have.

• Meet deadlines and handle issues as they arise; calmly and with confidence

SKILLS/EXPECTATIONS

• Strong vocal and instrumental proficiency

• A heart for ministry and discipleship

• Previous leadership experience in church worship ministry

• Proficiency with production software and basic audio/visual technology

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• A highly collaborative spirit

• Ability to inspire, motivate and build team culture

• Flexibility and adaptability

MEETING REQUIREMENTS

• Attend weekly staff meetings at the Manistee campus

• Attend assigned weekly meetings at the Buckley campus

• Attend brainstorming meetings for events and special services (Easter, Christmas, Baptism, etc.)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position will have the responsibility of overseeing the volunteer team at the Manistee campus.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a paid part-time position, with a possibility of becoming a full-time position in the future. Additional hours for meetings and training will be required. There will be some travel required to our main campus, in Buckley, and possibly some travel to our other campuses.
