Mountain View Community Church is seeking a Campus Pastor to serve as the primary shepherd, leader, and representative of our Orange Campus. This position provides a unique opportunity for either:
• An emerging leader sensing God’s call to pastoral ministry and seeking hands-on ministry experience within a healthy church environment, or
• An experienced ministry leader looking to shepherd and develop a growing congregation.
The Campus Pastor will work closely with the Lead Pastor and ministerial staff to cultivate spiritual growth, develop volunteers and ministry leaders, shepherd people through life’s challenges, and help advance the mission of the church in Orange County and the surrounding communities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shepherd the Congregation
• Build meaningful relationships with attendees and members
• Provide pastoral care, encouragement, prayer, visitation, and spiritual guidance
• Participate in counseling, funerals, discipleship, and care ministry
• Help people take next steps in their relationship with Christ
Lead the Campus
• Serve as the primary leader and visible presence of the Orange Campus
• Champion and communicate the mission, vision, and values of Mountain View Community Church
• Oversee Sunday worship experiences and campus operations
• Foster a welcoming and engaging church culture
Develop Leaders and Volunteers
• Recruit, train, encourage, and shepherd volunteer ministry teams
• Identify and mentor emerging leaders
• Strengthen ministry systems and processes
• Create healthy ministry environments where volunteers thrive
Engage the Community
• Build relationships throughout Orange County
• Represent Mountain View in the community
• Identify opportunities for outreach, service, and local mission engagement
Preaching and Teaching
• Weekly preaching and teaching
• Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and teaching team in advancing the church’s teaching ministry
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• A growing and vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• A clear calling to vocational ministry
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies, Ministry, Theology, or a related field from an accredited college or university
• Agreement with the doctrine, mission, values, constitution, and bylaws of Mountain View Community Church
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to lead both volunteers and ministry teams Preferred
• Spiritual leadership training
• Seminary training (completed or in progress)
• Prior ministry leadership experience
• Preaching and teaching experience
• Experience leading volunteers and developing teams
