Bexley United Methodist Church is located in an established inner suburban area bordering Columbus, Ohio. The congregation is approaching 100 years in ministry in the Bexley and East Columbus area. Bexley has excellent city schools and the congregation values ministries with children and youth. Proximity to several neighborhood schools of all ages suggest excellent growth potential. This staff person will come in with the opportunity to help develop an intentional discipleship system with the invitation to shape the church’s educational philosophy as we rebuild our programming post-pandemic.
Salary range: $40,000-$50,000/year, depending on experience
We are a United Methodist Congregation in a moderately progressive inner suburb of Columbus, Ohio. We have both traditional and contemporary worship services and an active youth group. We are located in a beautiful, stable community. The city of Bexley has excellent schools and a population of about 14,000. The town is surrounded by the larger and more diverse city of Columbus, with plenty of opportunity to grow and connect our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ with the needs of the world. Like many congregations, we are actively re-engaging our congregation as the pandemic is lessening.
