c. Stay up to date on trends
f. Work on writing original songs for New Beginnings Church that speak to our congregation from the Lord.
g. Help the Youth and Children’s Ministry provide excellent worship in their ministries.
2. Media
a. Ensure the streaming of all services is top notch in our presentation
b. Promotional videos
i. Work with Pastor for upcoming sermon series
ii. Upcoming events
iii. Relevant videos to open the services
iv. Work toward making our own videos
v. Weekly Announcement videos
vi. Videos for Pastor’s Sermons when needed.
vii. Record and post Pastor’s weekly vlog
c. Monitor Social Media
i. Weekly service posts from the previous weeks sermon
ii. Posts about upcoming events
iii. Make contact with people who like our page and ministry
iv. Weekly blasts to the area about something exciting at New Beginnings Church.
v. Promote activities such as our free medical Clinic
vi. Help Monday podcast teachers post their classes.
3. Team player that works with the other staff and ministries of the church as needed so that New Beginnings Church thrives in our community.
About New Beginnings Church
New Beginnings Church is located in Punxsutawney, PA, in western Pennsylvania. We are located in a rural setting. A small town of 6,000 people. We do have a Walmart and grocery stores, and several eating establishments, and are within 30 minutes of shopping and larger restaurants. Punxsutawney has a medium sized Elementary and High School, and is very “sports oriented” We also have a hospital, and access to many specialist doctors.
Punxsutawney is also home to Punxsutawney Phil and Groundhog Day every February 2nd we are the focus of the world to see whether Phil will see his shadow or not.
If you are an outdoorsman we have many trails, hunting spaces, and beautiful scenery. We are only 45 minutes area from Cook’s forest that is filled with everything imaginable to do outdoors. Yes we are in a rural setting but we are only 90 minutes away from Pittsburgh, Altoona, and Stage College (Penn State University). Where many big time events take place from pro sports, to concerts, to festivals. The great thing is you can go to those places and them come home to the peace and safety of rural Pennsylvania.
New Beginnings Church is a very active church, averaging around 150-200 people. WE encourage a relationship with Jesus, not a religion. We have many active programs for children, youth, and young adults. We also have various small groups that meet monthly, on a rotating schedule. We have quarterly worship nights, and monthly SOAK nights, where we enjoy the presence of the Lord.
We are always trying to do innovative things. This past year we opened a free medical clinic, called Birdie’s Haven. It is staffed with volunteer medical staff. This clinic has blessed many people in our town and in surrounding communities providing free medical care for anyone.
At the end of everything we do at New Beginnings we have a saying we say and 100% believe in. Remember Jesus loves you, I love you, and you are Awesome! That phrase permeates all that we do and are.
Who are we looking for?
Someone who is energetic, a team player, and who likes to have fun.
We are looking for someone to come and take our music to the next level.
We want someone who can help us speak the language of the lost and at the same time speak the language of the mature Christian.
Ideally, we are looking for someone in their 20s or 30s, but if you are older and think this is for you, feel free to apply. Our Pastor is 50 and thinks he is 30.
You must agree with Assemblies of God Doctrine and be willing to flow in a revival atmosphere.
Pay is somewhere around $30,000 (maybe a little more) plus some extras to begin with. It is a very cheap place to live and there are also plenty of jobs in the area. Hours (20-30/week) are very flexible so if you need outside work that is very possible. We have a couple of business owners in the church as well. We believe this position is the missing piece for our team. We hope to be able to offer a significant raise as the church grows. We have done that with other staff members in the past.
