Northeast Ohio Christian Church (DOC) seeks a full time Senior Minister. We are one of the oldest churches in the area (established in 1835), financially stable, and community outreach-minded. Our average Sunday attendance is 65 with another 75 watching on Facebook.
Qualifications for the position include:
--ordained Christian (DOC) or UCC minister preferred
--minimum of five years experience (or equivalent) as a senior minister
--advanced knowledge of the Bible, able to conduct meaningful sermons and adult Bible studies
--clean criminal and driving reports
--function as the administrative head of our church and lead in all activities pertaining to our church
--participate as the co-chair of the Senior Leadership Team (Board of Directors) and team member of certain committees
--ability to relate to all ages of congregation members and prospective members; have a strong desire to make direct calls on long time members and newcomers
--have a passion for spreading The Word
Salary/housing allowance of $50,000-$70,000/year, depending on qualifications, education, and experience. Established in 1835, financially stable, well-maintained building and grounds. Generous, giving comgregation that maintains many, many local outreach programs, such as providing a food pantry and free giveaway of cleaning supplies to the "less-haves"; "Undie Sunday" collection of underwear for the needy elementary schools in our town; "Pictures with Santa" celebration each year (average attendence of 200 children/parents); Trunk or Treat; adoption of a welfare family at Christmas; collection of needed gift cards for local veterans' group; assembling of hygiene kits for survivors of nation-wide natural disasters; and pages and pages more.
