Bakersfield First Church (BFC) located in central Bakersfield has a long history of reaching Bakersfield. Located in a great mission field in town, we are looking for an Associate Pastor to help support the ministries of BFC as well as utilize their gifting and talents to impact our neighborhood and city.
Depending on your calling, this role would be able to flex around who you are as a pastor and what God is doing in and through you.
The primary tasks of this position would include bringing leadership to our children and youth ministries. Other areas of opportunity include but are not limited to worship, tech/media, outreach, sports ministry, local missions, and more.
BFC currently has a Lead Pastor, Worship Leader, Family Pastor (on her way out), Senior Adult Pastor, and Office Administrator.
We are apart of the Church of the Nazarene. Agreement and understanding with our doctrine is necessary with opportunity to seek credential within our denomination. Wesleyan Holiness roots are preferred.
Above all, we are looking for a team player who is ready to make real impact through missional avenues not only with children and youth but the church in general. Preaching opportunities will be made available and more.
