Pastor Worship and Creative Arts

Qualifications:

Education: College degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in leading worship and developing

ministry teams (audio, instrumental, vocal, dance, etc.)

Personal Qualifications.

Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be continually pursuing and demonstrating the Spirit-filled life. Doctrinal alignment with the Assemblies of God is essential

Be a self-starter and possess a "whatever it takes" mentality to see that objectives are met.

Demonstrate support of the staff, Board of Ministry, and other ministry team leaders

Tithe faithfully to Dayspring Church

Skills: Sensitivity to the leadership of the Holy Spirit and His gifts

Proficient in leading congregational worship

Proficient with vocal and instrumental performance and recording

Composition/arrangement skills preferred

Ability to recruit, train, and release inter-generational ministry teams

Ability to incorporate creative arts (drama, dance, etc) in congregational worship

Style: Contemporary style that reaches students and young families with sensitivity to and respect for all generations.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Leads all matters relating to campus wide worship.

Specific Duties

Creative Arts:

Develop and oversee the training of music, dance, multi-media, and drama for use in the main services and special events.

Responsible with Lead, Student and Children’s Pastors to develop a greater expression of campus-wide worship and to develop worship arts ministries throughout Dayspring.

Model and teach a lifestyle of worship

Discover, disciple and deploy ministry teams including musicians, vocalists, dance, and drama

Select music (fresh, current) for each worship service

Oversee drama productions

Generate and manage annual Creative Arts budget.

Provide planning for weekly services and special events.

Recruit and develop new talent.

Plan and execute multi-night events and conferences that focus on prayer and worship.
