Job Responsibilities Duties
Children’s Pastor will lead and oversee all ministries to children from birth – 5th grade along. The goal is to partner with parents with making life-long disciples of Christ.
- Develop a strong Sunday ministry time for children where Biblical teaching/preaching, worship and a response time of prayer is present
- Create, administrate, and resource healthy seasonal ministries for kids of all ages
- Develop and maintain healthy relationships with both children and their parents
- Oversee curriculum selection or write it for all Children’s Ministries.
- Recruit, equip, and train a team of volunteers that will assist you with every area of Children’s ministries.
- Plan events regularly for children and families to grow in community
- Establish and lead multiple outreaches towards kids to bless the community
- Provide ministry and counsel to families with children during crisis situations
- Plan and lead special events for kids and families such as a VBS
- Visit kids at schools, games, plays, concerts or at special events
Personal Responsibilities
- Complete the Growth Track and be a member of the church
- Be a faithful attendee at all public services
- Be an active supporter of the church’s events/programs/outreaches
- Family commits to NHC Honor Code, while living above reproach in conversation, entertainment, interpersonal relationships, personal finances and conduct
- Be a faithful tither, while supporting missions and other projects that you decide
- Pursue credentials and maintain them
- Be loyal to the Lead Pastor, his vision and the staff of New Hope Church
General Requirements
- Arrive on time or early for set up on Sundays and special events
- Attend and serve at special services and functions designated by the church
- Maintain an atmosphere of excellence in all that you do (work ethic, dress, socially online…)
- Receive ongoing training through books, videos, blogs, podcasts that will provide excellence for your ministry
- Develop and train volunteer leaders who will assist you in the fulfillment of your vision.
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Participate in our seasons of prayer and fasting
- Set a standard on promptness and readiness in attendance at all meetings
- Be flexible and willing to do whatever is necessary to accomplish the vision of the church
