Creative Arts Director
Overview:
Rhema Christian Center has an excellent opportunity for a creative individual to serve as its creative arts director.
The position reports directly to the COO and will oversee all media positions with exception of the Media Communications Manager which will have a dotted line into this role. Therefore, this position will also work closely with the Media Communications Manager and COO to align messaging. Position coordinates and provides oversight for all creative projects. Receives all media requests and responds to all media request forms.
Creative Arts Director Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure consistency in design cross all the online and offline media channels
- Lead all creative design, collaborates, and partners with media communications manager on copywriting, messaging and other areas as necessary.
- Oversee other members of communication team’s work, leads and direct all graphics, web design, video, animation, infographics, social media, photography, and promotional assets.
- Manage and delegate responsibilities to others and provide directions
- Adhere to brand guidelines
- Works with COO and manages and plans the organization’s production calendar
- Generate clear ideas and concepts in tandem with the media communications manager
- Produce sketches, storyboards, roughs to visualize ideas
- Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audiences
- Works with church leadership, pastors, and the creative team across different types of media
- Takes work from concept to final execution within deadlines
- Collaborate with church leaders and presents completed ideas to team members
- Stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices
- Co-manages the Creative Arts budget and preforms other administrative task as needed
- Oversees and co-manages communication team volunteers
Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong, versatile creative arts skills
- Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills
- Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as needed
- Desire to take full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Possesses a sense of urgency; is self-motivated and detail-minded
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
- Good verbal presentation, group dynamic, and facilitation skills
- Proactive approach in resolving problems and issues
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, strategic communications, or equivalent
- Minimum three years of advertising or marketing experience
- Demonstrated experience with all types of social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web content management systems experience
Basic Responsibilities:
- Maintain a personal walk with the Lord through attending church services, committed bible study, prayer and meditation.
- Maintain proper priorities in your home and family
Pay: $26.44 - $28.84 per hour
