Role Summary

To further Rock Bridge’s mission by building bridges in your community, developing leaders and teams, replicating ministries, & caring for campus health.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the campus staff, focusing on their leadership development and ministry excellence.
• Ensure each campus staff team member has an annual success plan focused on their growth as a leader and disciple.
• Ensure the execution of all campus ministries according to the multi-campus ministry playbooks.
• Lead people to continually take next steps in their life in Christ through salvation, baptism, small group engagement, ministry team involvement, etc.
• Develop a culture of community, connection, and care, ensuring each guest and attendee is personally led toward a place of involvement.
• Develop and champion local, ongoing HOPE initiatives focused on outreach to those outside the faith who have needs in our community, along with identifying new opportunities to develop for long-term impact.
• Oversee campus pastoral care, either directly or indirectly, ensuring those who are hurting are cared for by their church.
• Oversee hosting of weekend worship services, providing vision to your campus that inspires people toward next steps.
• Develop volunteer leaders and volunteer teams to carry out Rock Bridge ministries, “equipping the saints for the work of ministry.” (Eph 4:12)
• Collaborate consistently with the Executive Pastor to discern barriers and opportunities for your campus.
• Oversee the administration of the approved campus budget.
• Oversee posting of social media accounts with campus-specific events.
• Will perform the sacraments of the church as needed.

In 2002, a small group of people gathered in Dalton, Georgia, with a bold vision: to start a church where anyone could experience Jesus—no matter their background, doubts, or past.

That vision began with Matt and Beth Evans, a young couple who sensed God calling them to create a church for people who didn’t feel like they belonged in one. At just 26 years old, Matt left a career as a Naval officer, and together with Beth and a core team of 25 people, they planted what would become Rock Bridge Community Church.

From the beginning, Rock Bridge was created for the lost, the broken, the spiritually curious, and the de-churched—people searching for hope, truth, and community.

Today, Rock Bridge is one church with multiple locations, serving six communities across Northwest Georgia and the Tennessee Valley. All of our campuses share the same teaching, ministry experience, values, and budget, with weekly messages broadcast to help keep us unified across locations.

We are still convinced that life in Christ is the greatest life there is—and it’s meant to be shared.

Over the years, we’ve seen God do more than we could have asked or imagined. What began with a small step of faith has grown into a movement reaching thousands every week—through worship services, students' gatherings, kids’ environments, and countless moments of ministry throughout the week.
