The Communications Manager develops and executes a comprehensive communications plan to reach and maximize engagement with the internal and external audiences of GCF. Our mission is: Love People Where They’re At and Help Them Follow Jesus. The communication goal of GCF is to spotlight ministries so that the gospel shines. 


Grace Community Fellowship Overview

Grace Community Fellowship is a nondenominational evangelical church. Located in the center of Eugene, Oregon—the church grew extensively over the last 10 years. Various ministries of the church include children, youth, overseas partnerships, small groups, and significant efforts in the community. Grace is a multi-staff church with a high involvement of volunteers.


Employment Details


Status: Full time equivalent, salaried, exempt

Hours: Sunday through Thursday.

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with education and experience.

Supervisor: Sr. Pastor

Support staff provided to accomplish the mission.


General Duties

Coordinate, develop, and oversee Grace Community Fellowship’s online, marketing, and digital communication strategy including: Social media, video editing, webpage, project management, design, creation, coordination, development and maintenance and oversee the staff and volunteers associated with this strategy. 

 

Specific Duties

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate internal and external communications messages and strategies that align with our mission, vision, and values. This role will collaborate with church staff to identify media and promotional opportunities, and leverage digital, film and print communications for life-changing impact. 

 

  • Support church and ministry leaders in conveying their vision and communications priorities to appropriate audiences. 

 

  • Be a brand champion, protecting the voice and brand of the organization in all areas of communication. To accomplish this, the ideal candidate will establish or maintain standards, priorities and strategies for the creation and delivery of all communication; and serve as the “eyes” for all things print and digital, looking for clear communication, brand presence and consistency. 

 

  • Manage all aspects of the organization’s digital media, platforms and software, including social media platforms, website, and email services. 

 

  • Maintain a strong understanding of social media best practices and the digital landscape, in order to guide creators and the communication efforts of the organization. 

 

  • Manage content and production details with clearly organized photo and video libraries, communications content calendar and video production schedules. 

 

  • Oversee the communications budget and team, which includes recruiting, training and supervising designated staff, independent contractors and volunteers. Monitor analytics and create reports to help our ministry teams make informed, data-based decisions. 

 

  • Collaborate with the Worship Pastor on the production of videos and visuals for worship services, and coordinate with our graphic artist when producing communication pieces. 

 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in web development, digital communication, media, marketing, graphic design, or communications. 
  • Become a regularly attending member of Grace Community Fellowship, and affirm our statement of faith, mission, vision and values.  
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms. 
  • Strong project management or organizational skills. 
  • Team player and the ability to lead teams. 
  • Working knowledge of video editing, photography, video cameras, and file storage.
