The Pastor Search Team of Pleasantview Baptist Church (PBC) is prayerfully seeking the man whom God is calling to be our next senior pastor, and who will lead our congregation into a future dedicated to growing God’s Kingdom by fulfilling The Great Commission.

REQUIREMENTS:
Based on prayerful consideration of the many qualities necessary to fill this position and feedback from our congregation, the Pastor Search Team believes that the Holy Spirit is leading us to call a pastor whose character and experience embody the following qualities:
· Feels he is called to the ministry and is prepared to courageously preach God's Holy Word with passion and a vision to grow believers and to reach unbelievers.
· Is a good biblical overseer (as defined in 1 Tim 3:1-7 and Titus 1) of the church, accountable to God and the church, and encourages accountability within the church.
· Has the experience, education, and the ability to teach and encourage believers of all ages to grow in faith in order to become willing, committed followers of Christ.
· Possesses the core beliefs of a follower of Christ as defined by God’s Word, has a strong commitment to missions both local and worldwide, and generally supports the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
· Demonstrates strong spiritual leadership abilities, is humble and approachable, and has a compassionate heart and a love for all people.
· Is a visionary leader who is able to unite people with diverse ideas to accomplish the church’s mission.
· Is an active mentor to church staff and leaders, and supports and models spiritual development.
· Is experienced with leading a congregation through the kind of transition that is needed to return PBC to a dynamic and focused congregation fulfilling the Great Commission.
