Oversee the ministry to children ages infant through fifth grade and their families at Uptown Church (UC), including management of the program, related staff, and volunteers. This role includes equipping children with foundational gospel knowledge, supporting their growth through programs, resources, and events, and preparing them for a lifetime of worship and missional living. The Uptown Kids Director will also work alongside other ministry leaders to integrate the broader vision of UC into ministry to children and children into the covenant life of UC, actively participating in the health and vitality of UC.
Uptown Church, located in uptown Charlotte, NC, is a church of 500 people that gather to worship from all over the city. Under the leadership of a new senior pastor, the church is in a season of renewed vision and purpose, seeking to experience gospel community and share that community with the city. Currently Uptown's staff (4 full time, 4 part time, 6 interns) is small for our size, but the pieces are in place to grow and we are eager to begin the growth process in 2023.
