Job Description

OVERVIEW OF CALVARY FELLOWSHIP & THE STAFF TEAM

The Vision of Calvary Fellowship (CF) is “To see those broken by sin renewed by Jesus Christ” and the Vision of the Staff Team is “To equip the Body of Christ for the work of the ministry” (Eph. 4:11-12). The Staff Team are servant leaders who pray for and oversee our day-to-day ministry operations, raise up and empower CF’s volunteer ministry teams through discipleship and practical support, and serve as examples of Christ-like love and obedience.

 

ROLE SUMMARY

The Operations Director (OD) is a spiritually-gifted administrative and mobilization leader who oversees the business and overall volunteer management functions of the church. The OD is supervised by the Executive Pastor (XP).

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Mature Christ-follower who is spiritually qualified as a deacon according to 1 Timothy 3:8-12
  • Skilled in financial, human resource, legal, facilities, operations, and volunteer management
  • Creative, detail-oriented, organized problem-solver who also embodies a collaborative, positive attitude
  • Skilled in MS Office Suite, QuickBooks, Google Docs, web sites, apps, and online payment platforms
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management or similar work
  • Able to handle confidential financial and personal information
  • Establish CF as their home church and be in full agreement with the church vision, mission, and teaching positions

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Oversee, in partnership with the CF bookkeeper, Treasurer, Board of Directors, staff and/or volunteer teams, all church budgets, income, expenses, reporting, records, banking, reimbursements, contracts, facility maintenance/organization, human resource procedures, insurance, ministry event/facilities planning calendar, Coffee Shop, Book Table, office equipment and furnishings, church property rentals and tenants, and office/facilities supplies purchases

  • Partner with the XP to develop and implement systems and procedures to support ministry operations
  • Participate in various staff or ministry planning meetings, as necessary
  • Support and guide the staff in volunteer ministry team recruitment and management
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteer teams overseeing Sunday setup and operations
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteer teams overseeing event setup and operations
  • Other duties, as assigned

 

Schedule: Sunday 7am - 1:30pm, Monday – Thursday 9am – 5pm plus some evening hours

Hours: 40-45 per week, Flexible

Location: Calvary Fellowship | Mountlake Terrace

Salary: TBD, plus health benefits
