About the Role:
First and foremost this person will partner with our staff and lay leaders to develop, direct, and oversee FBC Ashdown’s kid’s ministry (infant through 5th grade) as we lead people to courageously follow Jesus. A successful candidate is a visionary leader with the ability to see that vision be executed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direction and vision for the kid’s ministry, recruit teams, and develop leaders
- Oversee VBS and other kid’s ministry related activities
- Bring leadership & support to our nursery/preschool area
- Provide oversight to the Children’s Ministry budget and help to develop budgetary needs for upcoming years
- Build relationships with new families and help enfold them into FBC’s ministry
- Complete other duties as assigned by Lead Pastor as consistent with FBC’s mission and vision

- Delegation – Ability to identify the gifts, talents, and interests of current and prospective new members. Set expectations and monitor delegated activities. Leadership skills in recruiting and overseeing teams/volunteers of lay-leaders.
- Cost-consciousness – Work within approved budget. Develop and implement cost-saving measures. Conserve organization resources while developing excellent ministry.

Education/Training Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four year university
- 2-4 years experience in kids ministry (paid or volunteer)
